  • Hobbies include (in no particular order): writing short stories and novels; doll collecting; restoring vintage doll clothes; playing the piano; singing; writing songs; and transforming blah and boring rooms to beautiful and functional living spaces.

What is “The Vintage Word?”

This website is my way of sharing all of the thoughts, ideas and stories that are rattling around in my head. You’ll find articles on cats, interior design, observations on what it’s like to live in one of the most desirable places in the country and much more. Plus you’ll meet a whole array of characters who have up to now existed only in my imagination.

I’m also a freelance writer – I enjoy writing about nearly everything, from fiction and humor to technical-related articles and marketing collateral. Check out the Writing Portfolio page for examples of my business-oriented content and other miscellaneous musings. You can reach me at my email address: akthorn4 (at) gmail (dot) com.
